Subharti Defence Academy is the brainchild of Dr. Atul Krishna, an eminent educator and a surgeon par excellence. A great admirer of the Indian National Army, he always aspired to establish a defence academy based on the ideals of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

The academy began its operations at Subharti University, Meerut. In a relatively short period, it has contributed significantly by preparing and motivating hundreds of individuals for dedicated service to the nation.

Subharti Defence Academy, in its current form, has attracted academic talents as well as some of the best assessors from the Indian Armed Forces. The academy replicates the entire five-day selection process, testing both the physical and mental aptitude of the candidates to a large extent.

For those who may face challenges in the written portion of the exam, the SDA faculty provides expert academic support to help them strengthen their understanding of subjects.

The academy also caters to those who aspire to serve as soldiers (jawans) in the armed forces. It prepares both men and women for Agniveer entries as well as regular recruitment.
